Nora is doing amazing and I can’t wait to show you more. With so much love in my heart, Melanie.
I came by your post on FB and it at first just was a nice surprise to share the same birthday as your daughter. After reading your story, I now feel truly blessed to share this splendid day with such a gift of love from G-d above. As a special education teacher, I often find people don’t understand the little miracles that are achieved by people who have intellectual disabilities, but I am grateful that I do. This brave little girl has my thoughts and prayers (as well as her family). Take care and may all G-d’s blessings be with you.
I am a nursing student and saw the blog post and photos shared through a link on FB. I am continually struck by the depth and breadth of the strength people find within themselves when confronted with crisis but your story has etched an indelible mark. I haven’t yet gone through my maternal/baby rotation but I promise you that your family will be in my heart every step of the way. Thank you for sharing your blessing.
I came into your room just to help move a chair for Dad. The peace and love in the room was so strong that I didn’t want to leave. God has a plan for all of us. She may be tiny but she is one of God’s biggest warriors. Lives are being touched through this little miracle. Your family is amazing. Little Nora is making an impact on this world in a way that some of us spend a lifetime trying to achieve. You are blessed. Thank you.
Dear Alicia and William,
We are Steve Mercer’s parents in Menlo Park, CA. We were in prayer for you yesterday as you prepared for Nora’s birth day…..April 17th. We received a call in the early evening of her arrival.
We give thanks to God for bringing this precious baby into your family. Hearing her cry must have had many others shedding “liquid tears” too. We give God all the praise.
Warmly,
Julie and Lauren Mercer
Oh my goodness, I’m crying tears of joy, thankfulness, praise, and I don’t even know what else. This is such an amazing moment, that I’m blessed to have been able to follow through blogs and photos. Nora is the strongest fighter with a very faithful, God loving, mommy, the very best kind to have. My love and prayers go out to you all.
[...] Melanie was in the room with us during the delivery — another amazing photographer. She managed to capture each moment of Nora’s delivery in absolute perfection. Here are a few photos on Melanie’s blog. [...]
